About Us

Melcas is deeply passionate about architecture and design, with a firm belief in the power of purposeful design to positively impact and empower communities, while shaping spaces with purpose and meaning.

In his formative years at DP Architects and award-winning architecture firm — studiogoto, Melcas has amassed a wealth of experience and knowledge across a diverse range of projects, both in Singapore and internationally — including China and Indonesia.

At DP Architects, Melcas was under the mentorship of CEO Ar. Seah Chee Huang and contributed to notable Civic and Community award-winning projects, including Jurong Spring Community Club (JSCC), GoodLife! Makan at Marine Terrace and GoodLife! Studio @ Bukit Purmei. He was also part of the design team for the upgrading of the Marine Parade Community Building (MPCB), which is currently undergoing construction.

Alongside the founders of studiogoto, Melcas worked closely with the firm’s founders on projects of a more intimate scale, with a strong emphasis on the design of private residential Bungalows and Good Class bungalows. Melcas also had the opportunity to venture into projects abroad, working with developers on a high-rise luxury condominium in Indonesia, and also on hospitality typology in Bali, Indonesia, where he engaged closely with local contractors, craftsmen, and suppliers, deepening his understanding of regional materials and construction practices.
