corner terrace at greenridge crescent

Size: 470sqm

Status: Design Proposal, 2025 | Singapore

Designed for a family of five, this corner terrace reconstruction breathes new life into the traditional pitched-roof typology, transforming it into a contemporary, multi-layered sanctuary. The architecture is a sensitive dialogue with its surroundings; by reinterpreting the high-pitched silhouette, the home respects its immediate context while establishing a distinct modern identity. Vertical space is maximized to foster a sense of openness, punctuated by pockets of greenery that integrates across multiple levels. Large floor-to-ceiling glass panels dissolve the threshold between the interior and the landscaped periphery, inviting the outside in and ensuring access to natural light and natural ventilation.

The interior narrative is thoughtfully zoned for both communal gatherings and quiet private retreat. At the heart of the home lies a spacious, open-plan ground floor — centered around the dining and dry pantry where family life unfolds and connections are forged. As one ascends, the atmosphere shifts toward intimacy, with dedicated bedroom with ensuites offering a personal refuge for the family. Across the facade, strategic timber louvers and deep eaves create a rhythmic play of light and shadow, providing essential solar shading and a veil of privacy. The result is a serene, biophilic environment — a private oasis for the family.
